Sports Premium

Once again this year, the school will be receiving the Sports Premium Funding from the Government. 

In April 2013, the Government announced new funding of £150 million for Physical Education (PE) and school sport. This funding should be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision.  

The funding is allocated directly to primary schools across England, providing them with a dedicated resource to buy in invaluable expertise and support to improve participation and promote healthy active lifestyles. 

Schools have flexibility on how they use the funding but it should be used to increase and improve the PE and sport offered to pupil, including increasing participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.   

This year, our Sports Premium funding is £19,540.00. We will be spending this on increasing the breadth of sports we offer to pupils as well as enabling our children to take part in sports competitions within our locality as well as with Aston Villa.
