Computing
‘We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher's hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.’
David Warlick
At Chandos, we aim for all children to be good digital citizens, leaving our school with the ability to use technology effectively and efficiently with ease for both acadmic use and enjoyment. In order to do this, we have adopted a hands on, practical approach when teaching Computing where we promote and encourage children to seek answers for themselves by incorportating technology into every day life, exploring new apps and programmes through play and by learning from their peers.
Every child, regardless of gender, race or ability will have equal access to the Computing Curriculum. We aim to provide for all children so that they can achieve their best according to their individual needs, whether they need additional support or more challenge.
